The shop is currently full of high end high street winter garments and designer labels. As more and more clients get to know about Victoria’s Wardrobe, the quality of our stock gets better and better. We are unable to post pictures of all of our stock on the website or Facebook, only a tiny fraction, so the best thing to do is, come and visit the shop!
The shop is now full of autumn wear and we have some great items on display. Jackets and coats are arriving daily and the increase in the number of designer label items means that the designer rail has had to be extended. Designer labels currently on the rail include Joseph, Armani, Farhi, Burberry and accessories from Jimmy Choo.
We have too many items to post on the website so for updates of newly arrived featured items, please see ‘like’ our Facebook page to receive updates. Don’t worry, you won’t be bombarded, we never post more than once a day, usually much less. Click this link to go to our Facebook page.
At the start of November we will be taking a selection of party wear for the Christmas season. After experimenting last year, please note that we will not be taking full length evening wear. Limited rail space and a reduced demand for these items from customers means we will concentrate on smart/casual party wear.
Please take a look at the ’What we do’ page which has been updated to give more details of the type of items we accept, and when.
Having been in business for a little over a year now, we have a much better understanding of what sells (and what doesn’t) so this information is provided to help you to know what to bring in, and hopefully to save you time and effort.
We have moved to an appointments system for bringing in items for consideration for sale. This means that you will be given the attention you deserve when you call in. Just telephone for an appointment on 01457 239084 or send a message via the website Contact us page, leaving a number for us to return your call.
Finally, just a reminder that Autumn wear is now being accepted.
We are really excited about Yanks weekend In Saddleworth. The shop is decorated with wartime bunting, and we have a selection of vintage and retro 1940s clothes, shoes and accessories to get you kitted out to join in the party. No ration book needed.
Here is just a small selection..
And don’t forget to check our Facebook page too…
An evening event was held on 20th June to celebrate the first birthday of Victoria’s Wardrobe and as a little thank you to all our clients and customers who have helped make the first year of business such a success.
Here’s to the next year and beyond.

Spring……… Yes, we are all still waiting for it to arrive. Maybe we’ll be skipping that pre summer season and going straight to 25 degrees Centigrade night time temperature in mid May.
Oh well, fortunately the shop is warm all year round and here’s a photo of our display table.
We will be closed Easter Sunday, but open Good Friday and Easter Monday 12-4pm for shopping only. We only accept items for consideration for sale during the week, unless by prior arrangement. Please telephone to discuss. Thanks
Spring is just around the corner and we have some lovely items arriving daily.
This season’s big trend on the high street is ‘Monochrome.’ Pictured is a selection of items we have accepted for sale very recently, so you can find this trend on our rails right now. A black and white look is easy to put together, yet it is so effective and always looks classy whether it’s spots, stripes, checks or just a hint of one or other colour, you can’t go wrong.
And as ever, we’re taking in good quality, stylish items so please contact us with any enquiries via the website or telephone.
We are winding down our sale of Christmas evening wear now and looking forward to accepting new stock for Spring. Now is a great time to delve into your wardrobe to see what no longer fits, was perhaps a mistake buy, or doesn’t match your lifestyle any more. Bring your lovely garments and accessories in now!
Summer wear will be taken from around the end of April. We take our new stock just a few weeks ahead of the season, so that customers purchases can be enjoyed within a very short time, if not immediately.
We also have a stall at this year’s Shop Local event at Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday 3rd March. We hope to take a small rail of clothes to the event but the shop will be open too. Come down and say hello if you are around, it’s free entry and there will be coffee and cakes available to purchase, made by Women’s Institute volunteers. This ‘farmer’s market’ style event will see local retailers showcasing their products as well as raising funds for local charities.
